At the exhibition “Country of my residence-Qatar” held at the Artrium Hall of Qatar Foundation in 2018, children through their art, painted their vivid impressions of Qatar.
Happy Plate Project
ICM Qatar organized an art workshop called ‘Happy Plate’ in December 2017. The workshop, which comes within the framework of the International Social Project ‘Happy Plate’, saw the participation of young aspiring artists, including students from Step by Step Centre for special needs, and professional artists in Qatar.
The event was part of the initial steps launched by the Coordinating Committee of the Russian Speaking Communities in Qatar in cooperation with International Centre for Music and Arts (ICM) and the group of artists from Middle East Art and Silk Painting (MAPS) towards the exhibition ‘Country of my residence - Qatar’. The participants expressed their happiest moments in Qatar on plates exclusively delivered from Holland for the project.
Happy Plate project has been held in different countries around the world including Russia, Holland, Germany, Italy, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Georgia, and Qatar. It is worth mentioning that the Happy Plates from Qatar edition were displayed in the Kremlin exhibition.
ICM Qatar extends special gratitude to designer Tatyana Egmond from St. Petersburg for playing a very vital role in this project.
Art Exhibition at Souq Waqif Doha
It was a showcase of talents by ICM Qatar students at the Souq Waqif art exhibition held in 2017. Visitors and exhibition organisers applauded the works displayed by our students. The show featured unique art pieces by ICM students, in addition to unique handicraft items lent for the occasion by parents and friends.
