A renowned and internationally recognized violinist and a talented music teacher, Sergey Skrypnik graduated from Mussorgsky Music College in 1991 followed by Petrozavodsk State Conservatoire, Russia, with the diploma of a violinist and a music teacher. After that he completed a post-graduate course of Kazan State Conservatoire, Russia, and received a certificate of symphony orchestra conductor.
So far this great musician has got more than 20 years of experience as a violinist, a violin teacher and an orchestra conductor. Many of his students continue their education in different music colleges and conservatories worldwide.
After creating a great duo with his wife, a pianist Elena Skrypnik, his talent was awarded the Grand-Prix of the International music competition-festival ‘Diamond of Russia’ in Moscow in 2011. Organizing Youth Symphony Orchestra in Ukraine in 2012 was another proof of his passion as a music teacher because in 2014 Sergey Skripnik and his Youth Orchestra won the Grand-Prix of the International music competition-festival of the Youth Orchestras in Kharkov, Ukraine.
In the same fruitful 2014 Sergey and his wife, Elena Skrypnik, co- organized the First Summer Youth Musical Festival ‘Slavic Summer’ in Zaporozhe, Ukraine. Among his latest achievements is becoming a finalist of the Blue Danube International Opera Conducting Competition in Rousse, Bulgaria in July 2017. Starting from January 2017, Mr. Skrypnik is working as a violin teacher at the ICM where the ICM Youth orchestra has been created under his leadership, and it just confirms his life motto: “Music is not just my profession…..it is my passion.”
